Groups and Associations

I endeavour as far as possible to keep my knowledge up to date, and to share with others too. I am a member of a number of groups and associations, links to many are on my links page.

As a Registered Nurse, I am registered with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) and am a Member of the RCN (Royal College of Nursing). I am a Member of the North East Compementary Therapy group of the RCN, we meet quarterly to discuss issues of complementary health within the NHS and regularly have guest speakers/ attend relevant conferences.

I am a Member of the Reiki Association, a support group which sets a working Code of Conduct

I am a member of Health 2000, a group of therapists led by GPs in Newcastle who teach medical students about the importance of understanding complementary therapies in their practice. We teach 3 groups a year, and I have been involved with the group for the past 3 years.

I am a member of the Borders Radionics and Healers group, which meets quarterly to share experiences of healing and have guest speakers.

I am associated with a number of animal specialists from around the region, and meet up with them informally and formally throughout the year.

I am a member of a number of online forums connected with animal health and welfare.
